Yo. Eardrum was one of the hardest albums I ever heard in my life. And it opened at #1 or 2 on the charts didn't it?
Kweli's last effort before this album was garbage. He was playing it too safe, trying to get spins and play up that "positive role model" image. But here he took it back. The hardest thing since Blackstar and Reflection Eternal.
But this! My goodness. I was hoping they'd put a video out for this. Go to school with his nose runny, come home with his nose bloody. He painted a picture with this one!

Talib has some really nice lines and the vid was cool. Talib is good for hip-hop with is smooth flow and meaningful lyrics. More people need to listen to this artist, I'd like to see him selling as much as lil wayne did.
I like Talib Kweli but he needs harder beats. I have neva heard him rap on a hard ass beat.

Kweli debuted at #2 with like 60k sells, hip hop was eatin bad sells hard mid 2007. And you guys do realize Common's FIRST award was in like 07 right? This dude has dropped mad albums ..and Be and Finding Forever were among his WEAKEST ones.. it pisses me off how people go unrecognized for obvious talent. EVERYONE knows how Kweli and people in that group of MCs are real hip hop, ... but ahh fuck it because the beef between TI and Shawty Lo is what's important.
