for what it is, i think this is a dope song, its obviously nothing ground-breaking, earth-ending or life changing, its just a dope song to listen to, by no means is it a lyrical masterpiece or a creative concept song with intricate meaning and story telling, its just a dope song with some nice sounding singing and a beat that you can vibe to.
I tried but couldnt make out most of what Lil Wayne is saying which brings me to an important point. Dude is at his prime in his career. He Could Release Carter 4 with 13 tracks with him high and saying random words in no particular order like "panda whale book chick/ I like girls thick" and STILL go Platinum.
but seriously, i do. it's extremely creative, and the song is pretty cool too, like it all fits together perfectly until wayne starts mumbling. i mean, for once in my life, i actually would have liked it if wayne used autotune on this track, because it's a laid back R&B track, rapping would just sound weird over the instrumental. and he did, but he fucking mumbled the entire verse. damnit wayne. you get one foot in the door, then you shoot yourself in the chest.
but, IMO, this is the best video of '08 dude, it's so creative, and upbeat and like fast-paced, well not fast-paced necessarily, but far from what any other R&B artist would have done, and it flows perfectly with the slow paced track, that's pretty creative to me.
