It depends on what you like really...if you really just bump club hits and mindless rap then yeah Ali isn't that great. But, if you like music with a message then he's one of the best out there. Brother Ali, Immortal, Talib, Mos, Freeway, NaS etc...they got mad skills but won't get the same radio play as some of these other rappers who spell in their rhymes.
Self Taught is good...Win some Lose some and Rain Water are some of my favorite tracks.....and for those who are gonna look him up on You Tube, LISTEN to the whole song not just the beat
