hey, I dont post much shit on defsounds, but everytime i read the threads you have somethin negative to say. I see your an Eminem fan, so of course you dont hate on him. He has some of the best lyrics and one of the best flows in the game, but how fucking long has it been since hes gave you new shit? Without that recent song, I can't even remember when his last song came out. And you always are talking shit about people "broadening their horizons" and shit and how kanye doesn't broaden your horizons. He obviously is trying to. Ur getting all pissed off at people because they like something different from you. Its o.k. for other people to like kanye's new sound. Its O.k. You don't have to go around trying to change peoples opinions. Music is about choosing the type of songs and artists that you like. You don't just let people decide for you. There are a ton of different rappers in this world, and thats why hip hop is hip hop. It can appeal to anyone. So don't get mad at people when they like something you don't.

Nah I have all of wayne's shit up til Carter III. He was one of my favorites for a while, but he's nothing like he was. It's sad really, but his fans are what crack me up.
i'll just say this. we like lil wayne because we like his music. we dont like lil wayne just to say we like him. Personally i liked him a whole lot more before carter III but i think its straight how he tries new things. How many artists right now can say that they dont sound the same in almost every song? Alot of artists now find something they are good at and do it over and over again. wayne doesnt do that so i can apprieciate that. everyone knows wayne was better in the old days. It's not just the vocoder that bothers me. It's the quality of his rhymes when he actually spits verses. If he ever goes back to spittin like he used to I'll start listening again.
fair enough, I was under the impression you didn't like the vocoder. The quality isnt there, but he has recent tracks that shows he still has it. ex. last of a dying breed. hopefully he'll go back to spittin. d3's purpose was to share the spotlight, i think he'll start spittin on c4 and these 30 free tracks that he will hopefully release. we will see

Eminem putting out new stuff has nothing to do with anything. He's just my favorite of all time. He's had two new tracks out in the past 3 weeks, and there's a gang of new shit coming.
You obviously haven't read many of my comments if you think I have nothing positive to say. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. I say what I feel and will continue to do so. Getting mad at people's e-opinions is equivalent to arguing with the TV. Disagreeing with people, however, is what commenting on websites is for.
P.S. I copped all of Kanye's albums and downloaded all his "underground" shit. I'm a huge pre-808's Kanye fan, and if he does what he says he will do and puts out a rap album after this one I'll cop that too.

To be completely honest I'm not too big on "who outshined who?" stuff when it comes to Em and Royce, but if I gotta pick one from that track I'm rollin with Shady. It's close, but the way Em rides the beat and his bars about Clinton/Lewinsky, the stairs, Celebrity Deathmatch, sicker than a Tupac dedication to Biggie, and the Empire state building line sealed it for me. With that said I liked Royce's stuff better on quite a few tracks on that tape. Now that you brought this up I just have to listen to the entire thing waitin on the Cowboys game.
