It's hard to really say cause I like alot of different artists for alot of different reasons. I can listen to Termanology or Mos Def for they're lyrics but (and don't disown me... Lol) I even like Soulja Boy for what he does. My thing about hip-hop is that we can't say who is and isn't hip-hop just cause we don't like it or listen to it. Back in the day Sugar Hill gang wasn't considered REAL hip-hop but now they're looked at as pioneers. Hip-hop is diverse, some people need to give us insight into social & political events, some people need to get us amped up, some people need to mellow us out & even though nobody wants to accept it anymore, some people need to make us dance & have fun in the club or at parties...
