alright, I understand where your coming from. It mite have come out alittle wroung in what i was saying. I dont mean to say rap should be telling you how to think.I myself feel i am a very independent speaker on the way i feel and music dosnt tell me how to be.I also mean to say i respect artists who dont tell you how you have to feel but make sense and speak when needed people like mos def for example. hes got some playful songs to but most of the time he talks about problems and whats wrong with the world. he still leaves you to decide how to help. I dont think that arists like Ice-T should be wasting there time insulting soulja boy and i also feel that he is not the only arist killing hip-hop. As the people eat up music telling u to'Superman that hoe' all the producers care about is money and dont give there time to teach the 'new artist' what hip-hop came from and what it was meant to be. Another thing as a white person who has lived his whole life in almost completely black areas ive got amazing respect for where these artists came from and what they overtook. but in classic hip-hop they would bring down authority in an apropriate manner. today its fuck the crackers they did this. Should we really be teaching the kids this. were teaching young black people to hate whites and the way im looking at it any kid who grows up in this living the same circumstances as me is gonna be growing up in a very dangerous place if as kids are very impressionable with what they listen to. And if I ever taugt my kids to blame everything that a black person did on 'The Nigga' I would have to hate myself but these people are making money teachin kids that there only chance of making it big is to rap or play ball and this is because of the white man or in most cases the 'Cracka'. in the past few months i had a neighbor come to me and ask 'are you a cracka' this kid was no older then 5.
