REIGN is a brilliant lyricist who hails from Brentwood, Long Island in New York. With an amazing ability to transform words into hard hitting, gritty tales of truth and reality, REIGN is one of the few underground treasures still left in the game. In the mix for over 10 years and through the many setbacks in his life, which he is so blatantly open about in his music, REIGN has overcome many struggles that most others would have succumbed to long ago. From being homeless for many years, to raising a child on his own while bouncing from shelter to shelter. Artists like him aren’t made…they’re born.
Keeping true to his Hispanic roots, REIGN and Lou Diggz joined forces and created The Puerto Rox. After establishing himself as an ambitious, creative and extremely talented MC with the popular group in 1997-2001, REIGN took some time off to focus on his life after his close friend and hype-man Blast was killed. Questioning his own future and, as he says, “reflecting on my direction and what I want to do with my life”, REIGN stormed back on the scene with a series of furious and chest-pounding freestyles on many local mix tapes. That was then…THIS IS NOW.

REIGN is back with an onslaught of vicious tracks that would make the hardest thug cry and the smallest man feel invincible. “Beating around the bush” and “sugar coating things”, are the last words to describe this genuinely authentic artist.
REIGN has performed in many venues in and around NY. His last back to back performances at Bongo’s this past month brought the house down. Performing “What I’m About” and “Redemption”, Reign had the crowd in a frenzy. In an interview after the 35 minute set, which included other local artists Reign had collaborated with, he explained, “Grasping something in life that you have worked so hard to achieve and watching it materialize right in front of you, is one of the best things your eyes will ever witness in your entire existence.” With a history spanning over 8 years on the club scene, REIGN has established himself as a true artist and is well known for his talents among the underground scene. Venues he has performed at in NY include: The Pulse, Eclipse, Club Pyramid, The Pepper Lounge, The Remote Lounge, The Moose Lodge, Exit’s, and Malibu’s, as well as other various clubs, showcases and benefits. He has also had performances out of NY including shows in Miami and Pennsylvania as well as New Jersey and Connecticut. REIGN’s show is filled with energy and rawness that is unmatched in the field of live performances today. There is a certain unequivocal “honesty” in him, that makes all around him feel comfortable.
Take heed my fellow brethren…There is a violent storm approaching…a whirlwind of pain and passion…loss and hope…truth and hunger.
Realizing Everything Inside Gets Noticed that storm is…
REIGN
