in my oppinion, luda is the true king of the south because hes been puttin it down for longer, ti can be the prince though haha

easily two of the realest rappers from the south though and to have them on the same track is a gift, especially on a track that bangs as hard as this does, im feelin this shit right here.

Question: How many rappers in the South BAR for BAR could fuck with Luda???

And be serious with your answers!!!!!
Definitely not cha’ favorite!!!

Now if someone else in the South would’ve spit Luda’s verse….yall would’ve been screaming about how he’s the greatest etc etc.

Just goes to show EVERYBODY could punchline the fuck outta a track…but that shit’s corny when u do it on every fuckin’ song and feature!

Luda bodied this fuckin’ track!!!
TI should’ve came waaay waaay waaay harder!!!

Luda is a more flamboyant rapper and that’s the only difference..He’s not a better rapper and I’ve never been able to listen to a whole Luda album because he puts too much emphasis on every line..T.I. knows how to be lyrical and bring swag to a track..Luda’s cool but any nigga from Ga know he’s a cornball..T.I. give real niggaz something to listen too..Luda was a dj and he just happened to be around enough people to get in the game..T.I. was really out there so his story is more authentic..You can’t compare swag and punchlines…Comparing the two is like comparing Busta and Nas because bar for bar Busta will tear a new hole in Nas the same way Luda would T.I…But Nas makes better albums because most people can’t stand to listen to Busta with all the extra shit for a whole album..Niggaz buy T.I. albums and white boyz buy Luda..I never seen any niggaz playing Luda in any hood i’ve been in and i’ve been all across the country..T.I. and Jeezy get love from hood to hood though..Y’all weird ass niggaz like Luda more and real street niggaz gravitate towards T.I…It’s a lot of white boyz that started liking Luda in that racing movie and that’s where the majority of his fans are..Luda is more lyrical but T.I. has more all around talents as an emcee..One other thing just because you use a lot of metaphors and similes don’t mean you’re better than another rapper because if that was the case the top 5 rappers would be Luda, Kiss, Cassidy, Fab and Lloyd Banks..All are nice but i’d rather hear T.I., Styles, Beanie, Joe Buddens and Young Buck because I like to hear real shit instead of just a bunch of punchlines and songs about nothing..Now think about that..If you put the first group on a cd it would be a banger no doubt but it wouldn’t really give you anything to think about besides punchlines..The second group would give you more real life shit to think about..Punchlines are usually only for entertainment value unless you make a valid point using them, which most can’t and the ones who were best at it are Jay and Big..Now compare Luda punchlines to Jay’s or Big’s and it’s almost elementary because of the differences in topics..While they could discuss a wide range of topics and keep the punchlines coming Luda can’t and when he does try to use them in a real song it just don’t come out right..Some niggaz develop their style from living and some acquire it with money..That’s the difference in T.I. and Luda and if you from Ga you know what I mean..

Guess what? It aint all about the hoods opinion. You didn’t realize that Luda is rappin about his life the same way that TI and Jeezy raps about theirs. He was just ambitious and clever enough to produce money in an HONORABLE way, not selling drugs. Being a dealer doesnt make you hard or a better rapper, it makes you oblivious to the real world and the real potential you have to succeed.
The entire industry is based on entertainment. They are either entertaining people or they aren’t. Either way it is their job so whichever market you can reach out to and will play your shit, might as well hold on to them because thats where you are going to make your $ on.

@ Celtics

I see what you saying but you missing the point pimpin..Luda got some tracks I dig but I’d rather listen to a T.I. cd..The hood opinion is very important because 80% of the rappers still come from there..I’m not saying the suburbs wouldn’t be important to the cats that come from there either..What i’m saying is Luda’s a beast just like Jada and the rest of them punchline rappers I named..The point is there albums aren’t as good as the people that are actually putting together a story where you can actually visualize what it is they are talking about..Luda got a lot of vivid punchlines but name any song of his that got a storyline and it’s something you can feel besides “Runaway Love” and that was off his last album..T.I.‘s "Still ain’t forgave myself" off his first album made you see the life he was living..Luda had “Fantasy”, “Throw them bows” and shit like that..Now think on it and tell me my point don’t make sense..
replyReply | 2 props | propProp | trashTrash
celticsabout 1 year ago
But that IS the life Luda was living. The man is ALL about the girls, money, and clubbin it up. He makes music about his experiences with girls, money, and hittin the club. Luda never said he was a drug dealer and he doesnt rap as if he was. Like I said, he acquired his money through his music and he raps about his money, girls, and things he actually does. It doesn’t have to be about selling drugs for it to be a rap song or be truth.

BUT…I get what your saying.
1 props | propProp | trashTrash
bostongeorgeabout 1 year ago
Nah I hear where your comin from…Jay-Z and Nas both got plenty of songs that you can visualize the storyline, same with BIG and I listen to the three of them a lot more than Ludacris albums…but my main point was that TI is overrated in my book and Luda is highly underrated. And what does the whole hood/suburbs shit have to do with it, whether I’m sittin in Crown Heights or Greenwich Connecticut a hot song is a hot song.
replyReply | 1 props | propProp | trashTrash

Yea, but the thing is everybody can’t relate to struggle just like everybody can’t relate to success..The facts of life is there’s more struggle in the hood as opposed to the burbs..Some people that grew up with everything can’t relate to Ghostface “All that I got”..It’s just like that..

Think about it like this..There’s always a difference in culture that’s why it’ll always be a difference in what people relate to..It’s a lot of people down south that don’t want to hear east coast beats and a whole bunch lyrical stuff and it’s a whole bunch of east coast folks that don’t dig the club vibe down here..It’s all a matter of taste do to culture…It’s better to have a good balance of all but most fans want to constantly define what’s hip hop, hot and who everyone should listen to..It’s gotten so bad the fans have gave the artist that control over who we listen to..When the last time you heard a nigga bumping a Ja Rule cd or mixtape? See what I mean..

Nah man the facts of life are that everybody faces struggles of their own on a day to day basis…and that isn’t directly connected to hip hop. Theres guys that have been through some real hard times and can’t rhyme worth shit…and then theres kids from the burbs that can drop a few nice lines but their makin it all up. The ONLY thing I was sayin was that IN MY OPINION Ludacris has ripped beats time after time and not really got the credit he deserves while at times T.I has been overrated….period…and I haven’t heard anyone bump a JaRule track since he got worn out on a Green Lantern tape by Em and G-Unit when they were both credible.

I feel you..That’s why I compared Luda to Busta..Both of them are monsters and can rip any beat..I remember when Meth and Red had that “Punked” type show and they gave Luda a garbage beat and he still murked it..But I can’t say T.I. was overrated like that either..The boy got talent but I think he displayed more earlier in his career..I think his last two cd’s were lukewarm..I think him and Luda next cd’s will be fire but I think Papertrail will be better..It’s like this..Cassidy is a better lyricist than Freeway but i’d buy a Free album first anytime because he make better albums..I’d check out a Cassidy mixtape first and that’s the same with Luda and T.I.
