What why Wayne does feel he is hip-hop is because he does represent one of tha purest aspects of hip-hop which is tha creativity engine, he do what others don't, he say what others can't and it sounds hot, he mix things up and make you say "what tha fu**", and creativity is just one of tha ways to express tha three elements of true hip-hop which are tha art work [or graffiti] tha mic, and tha dance, but creativity is what fuels these three things and everything else is what drives it, but in his mind he is fueling tha car, which is why he be saying I'm keeping it going, or I'm tha gasoline to this flame, and other ish like that, but if you'll also notice in my comment I touched on how he don't really like rapping no more, which is why he sound repetitive, but MORE people then NOT still want this kind of Wayne so he give'em what they want when he go in...

Carter 2 flow was hot but didnt have enough emotion or good metaphores but still hot. Drought 3 flow was ace in metaphores but ad no focus and less emotion. His flow now has alot of emotion and above average punchlines and is very versatile. I used to think wayen got weaker but I like his flow now alot more
