You right... But I'ma be real with you. These wack dudes get there fanbase and music played in the clubs first. Thats how south dudes come up. I'm from Texas, so when everyone is laughing at Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Slim Thug, and Chamillionaire; they actually laughing at everyone else, cuz their fan bases were already established before they went nationwide. So when they don't do so good nationwide, they still sell out in concerts in the south... Shiii, I still bump old slim thug, paulwall&chamillionaire, and old mike jones. Their underground albums are awesome.. I just don't understand how east coast cats don't support their up in coming rappers even when they aren't making it big.. Everybody and they mama, should pack clubs to hear Joell Ortiz, or Joe Budden, or Ghostface Killah.. Ghost got one of the Illest albums out right now, and it didn't make any money, because I guess yall don't support your own enough..
When you come from labels not wanting to give you anything because you don't sound east coast or west coast, you learn how to bust ya azz and make moves, instead of waiting for the major to sign you. Listen to luda's "Tell it like it is"--"Open a bank account quick and start following these steps, sign yourself to yourself, and start signing ya own checks.." Thats the Southern way... No help expected..
