Sorry fellas: this song was not released before the incident with Pac. It's very likely the song was done before the shooting but it was not released until after. Anyway, the shit is classic track.

what up yall, I just woke up and was passin through some of the blogs, and I see theres some confusion as to whether or not this is a diss track towards Pac, and this track was definately not aimed at anyone in specific, and was not aimed at Pac, period. This track was made before the shooting and at the time of the shooting there was no East West beef, Pac was in NYC to record a song in the same studio as Biggie and Junior Mafia.....Pac was shot and robbed in the lobby of the studio when he was trying to get upstairs....to say that Biggie planned his robbery and him getting shot is ridiculous, Biggie wasnt that kind of rapper, every track he came out with were hypothetical situations, the Who Shot Ya track had already been completed, but it was released after the shooting....

Why would you have somebody shot and almost killed, then release a track saying who shot ya, with Puffy yelling west coast muthafuckas, knowing that police are still investigating the shooting.....this is the kind of shit that started the whole beef, Pac was saying there is no way Biggie didnt know niggas were going to rob him, he had to know and since Biggie didnt relay that to him, Biggie must be involved, those are the facts....The adlibs by puffy are nothing more than adlibs, this track was not aimed at Pac, anybody who listened to Big when he came out knows he would never do something so stupid as that, he had absolutely no reason to.....like I always say, it only takes a jelous nobody to make take out somebody of importance, and it almost happened in 94, but Biggie had nothing to do with that......

I think what happened is after Pac began dissing Badboy, specifically Biggie and Puffy, the decision was made to release the track on a mixtape, I forgot now which mixtape it could have been Clue, but at that time remember all this dissing on records and going back and forth was an unknown market....yea rappers in the past when at each other but in the 90's nobody was really doing that, so the decision to release that track on a mixtape was a calculated move on Badboy's part, but it was a huge mistake because although the track isnt aimed at anyone in specifically, the opening line doesnt leave much room for speculation when a rival rapper is accusing you of orchestrating his robbery.....in any case Biggie and Pac, 2 of the GOAT, I love this track, this track right here is still better than anyting coming out these days, RIP BIG......
