LL is still one of the best old heads doing his thing..Of course he switched it over to the ladies but don’t get shit confused..He’s still better than 80% of the rappers out..Don’t let age or his lifestyle fool you because lyrically LL is still a beast..He ain’t on no Will Smith shit he’ll give your favorite rapper( you know who i’m talking about) a run for his money and that’s why he didn’t take that bait..Don’t get it twisted he’s quite arguably one of the best battle rappers of all time..He lost to Canibus but he still destroyed his career and he’s destroyed more than any other rapper without all the hating and bitch type behavior..Can you say the same for Jay, 50, Nas or Em? He ain’t keeping it funky like G Rap as an old head but G Rap don’t know what it’s like to be on LL level financially or to have the kind of appeal to women..

People who are talking about LL should retire are probably not even hip hop heads. If they heard Return of the Goat mixtape and if they were “REAL” hip heads they would not make these silly remarks. Maybe they have a poster of Britney on their walls. Or perhaps they are just very young
and have a very thin musical catalogue as far as dates the music is concerned. The reason why hip hop is still here and why so many cats can earn from it is because of people like LL. Cats who now openly give LL respect = Eminem, Game, 50, Fat Joe, Rakim, KRS1, Cool G Rap, Kane, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Ice Cube, Dre Dre, Snoop, and Yup even JayZ & even Canibus. Back in the day Biggie gave L respect. These cats are far more relevant in judging what hip hop really is about. Most cats nowadays have no idea about what the Zulu nation is, or who Cool Herc was, and I bet few even less know about the movie Crush Groove. To be true to the game you have to be prepared to dig in the crates. Hip Hop is a culture with a lot of roots and not just a couple of tracks you shake your booty to in a club.
