According to sources, Budden is said to have been in talks with Eminem himself however, talks were halted due to his [Eminem] recent hospitalization last month.
The move may come as a surprise to many as Budden has had a few sparring matches with both 50 Cent and former Aftermath artist, The Game.
This scenario may sound familiar to some as Em's signing of 50 Cent--one of the highest selling rappers of all time-- came after he was dropped from Columbia records and his album, "Power Of The Dolla" never made it to stores through the label as did Joe Budden's "The Growth" on Def Jam.
Budden recently inked a distribution deal with independent label Amalgam Digital to release a retail version of his long awaited Mood Muzik 3 mixtape.
In other news…
The retail album will hit stores on February 26, however fans can head over to Amalgam Digital and purchase an advanced variation of the mixtape dubbed "Mood Muzik 3.5."
Budden couldn't be reached for comments regarding the rumored signing.
