As previously reported, Em was rushed to the hospital from complications from pneumonia which was compounded by a serious heart condition and weight gain, which is said to have ballooned over 200 pounds.
Em's publicist, Dennis Dennehy, did confirm reports saying that the rapper was admitted to a Detroit hospital and released to recover at his home.
But, The Detroit News claims Mojo in the Morning, a show on Detroit's 95.5, stated on its website Tuesday that they had sources who claimed Eminem was “hospitalized on New Year's Eve at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital due to complications from taking benzodiazepine, a tranquilizer with sedative qualities”.

Em is said to have finished recording his highly anticipated forthcoming LP tentatively titled, King Mathers, due out this summer.
