In 2003, an up and coming St. Luis rapper by the name of Chingy dropped “Right Thurr” under the DTP umbrella, headed by Ludacris. Only one year later, problems would arise in the camp forcing Chingy to part ways with DTP, citing the mishandling and mismanagement of his finances as the primary reason behind the departure.
However, it now seems that the St.Luis rapper may be headed back to hook up with Ludacris and the DTP family once again.
On a recent track leaked onto the internet entitled “Make That Money,” Chingy explains: “Was gone for a minute, back with the crew/Who?/DTP so if you on top, we came to move you.”
As of now, no official statements have been made by Chingy or Ludacris, however it has been confirmed that Chingy will appear on DTP’s compilation album “Strength In Numbers”, set to release in July.
