Hip hop doesn't live in any one area you dumb bastards, it lives in the heart of our people no matter where they may reside. East coast hip hop is so full of hate they don't even recognize the biggest selling artist over the last 4 years hails from their city. 50 has sold more than the entire south and west combined, but they hate each other so much they don't even see it. The south just took hip hop back to it's roots, that's why they are doing better, but east coast sales still eclipse them by miles. Just take 50 and Jay over the last 5 years and add those sales up. 50 sold 11 million out tha gate, then follwed up with another 8 million, and Jay has sold at least 4-5 million during that time. That is over 24 million records sold. What southern artist even comes close to that shit over the same time span? I don't even need to mention west coast sales do I? Since Pac and Death Row the only platinum artist was the Layme, and much of his success is attributed to 50.

The east coast needs to understand they caused this huge back lash against them for all the hating they did on the south and west coast. For years they called them "bammers" and refused to play they shit. I grew up down south and we all loved east coast music, but they didn't love us back. Now that the South is making hits, East coast cats are crying like babies!!! People are tired of all the hard core shit, and are ready to start dancing and having fun again. When was the last time you seen a NY artist smile in a fucking video or dance? Dancing was a huge part of the hip hop culture, and niggas like d4l and dfb brought that back...why would you hate that?
