Rotten Apple While listening to Lloyd Bank’s Rotten Apple, the sophmore follow up to Hunger For More released in the summer of 2004, I found myself quickly skipping through the cd. Now, don’t get me wrong, It’s not that it’s a bad cd; the production is top notch and Banks verbal ability is on point, however he is very repetitive. Almost Every track follows the same formula, the money, the women, and the guns, Which gets boring incredibly fast. Between Banks emotionless voice and the numerous impromptu “Ha ha” adlibs, the album quickly becomes disregardable.
The Noteables
There are a few noteables however, Help feat. a relatively unknown Keri Hilson is a sure hit and will probably be the next single released. Hands Up, the official first single, grabs you with its catchie hook and upbeat flow with 50 cent on the hook and Tony Yayo as the adlib man. Other Noteables are Cake feat. 50 cents and You know the Deal Feat. Rakim.
The Breakdown In the end Im going to give Rotten Apple a 6/10. It just seems like Banks can not perform well by himself, he doesn’t have the presence on single tracks that he does on collabos.

This album disapointed me strongley. When hungry for more came out, his swagga made me his biggest fan. But this nigga fell off big time with rotton apple. CAKE is a hot track and about 3 more songs. Other than that, do better banks. YOu still hot to me.
