Update: Dj Carl Blaze has Died

Dj Carl Blaze, the popular Power 105.1 New York Dj, has died from his wounds sustained during a robbery. Blaze, real name Carlos Rivera, was shot earlier this month after Deejaying a party at X-Bar a Bronx club in University Heights. He was shot 13 times for his chain a white metal diamond chain with the interlocking initials CB according to police. Police seek to talk to a woman that may have played a roll in Blaze’s death.

These guys could have not put it any better. It is sad especially due to the circumstances. The world is a crazy place when intially blood is shed for the diamonds before purchase and also afterwords when hundreds and even thousands are spent on a these same blood diamonds. Never even heard of him prior to the shooting so I won't go all "he was great", but it's definitely pathetic to take someone's life over jewelry. In fact, I'd honestly feel better if it was something personal (revenge or something) rather than a fucking chain
