T.I’s new album, “T.I vs. T.I.P” is coming soon, and he recently spoke with Vibe magazine to explain the concept, and update everyone on his current activities/upcoming projects. “It’s a concept record split into three distinct parts: “T.I.P.,” “T.I.,” and “T.I. vs. T.I.P”, said T.I. “It’s the struggle of power between two personalities within one self, with each segment separated by a narrative explaining who each personality is.” Part one is about T.I.P. “coming to power and making wild demands” of his record label, Atlantic. Part two is about T.I. waking up and hearing people “saying he did shit he don’t remember.” “On the concluding segment, T.I. and T.I.P. will collaborate, and finally, converge.”
He was reportedly accompanied by his lady, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle (of the group Xscape), and wasn’t stingy with the music either, as he played 16 songs for Vibe to hear. “I could do another record tonight and one could be bumped off tomorrow,” said T.I, as he played the following songs:T.I.P.:

- “Tell ‘em I Said That” (prod by Danja). T.I. explains “The song is about “too much lying coming out the mouths of people occupying the kids’ time. Rappers coerce their kids to do shit they ain’t never even done they self.”
T.I isn’t only working on his own projects though, as he’s also contributing to upcoming Lp’s by Timberland, B.G, and he’s recorded nearly 3 tracks with Eminem, (one for T.I’s album, and one for Em’s). Many speculated as to why he did not release a double or triple disc LP, ala Nelly’s “Sweat-Suit”, as it seemed like a winning idea. T.I explained his reasons, saying: “You can’t do double albums – you don’t get counted as two anymore. I might as well be giving songs away. And Nelly,” he added, “has the advantage of a market I have yet to attain.”
Also, it may surprise people to know that T.I isn’t only working on his lyrics, but his production skills as well; making beats for notable talent like Rick Ross, Mariah Carey, Young Joc, Young Dro, and even Cassidy. “Whether they use the beats or not is up to them,” said T.I.
