Both 50 Cent and Young Jeezy supported T.I. over the weekend by filling in for him and performing at shows he had been scheduled to headline. Saturday, Jeezy took over at a concert at Fayetteville State University, and 50 filled in for him at the Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia. “I hope he can make the best out of that situation,” said 50 to MTV News on Sunday while on the set of his video for “I’ll Still Kill.” He continued, “If he gets 10 years, that ain’t bad,” analyzing T.I.’s charges as well as the evidence the feds have claimed to have against him. “If the security person is already telling, it’s obvious that’s their witness. They got tapes, they got all this. ... [If it was me,] I would have to tell the people I did it and sit down for a minute. Nobody wants to hear that you have to stay 10 years nowhere. It’s not a good thing, period. It’s unfortunate, but he got himself in that space. ... I don’t know the real facts. Maybe he didn’t do it; let’s keep our fingers crossed.”
50 has recently done an interview in which he spoke about his up-coming album “Before I Self Destruct.”, which we covered in the previous Lil’ Kim/50 article yesterday. The album, which is slated to be released in Spring 2008, will be his final album of original material under his current contract with Interscope Records. In other 50 Cent news, G-Unit will release their second album December18.
