T.I. Going Gold
Predicted to sell over 500,000 during it’s first week, T.I.’s bipolar LP T.I. Vs. T.I.P., didn’t quite make it.However, it did manage to sell 468,000 units according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album is the second number 1 debut for TI, last year’s King also opened at number 1, selling 522,000 copies.
T.I. Vs. T.I.P has had the highest selling week in hip hop since Jay Z’s Kingdom Come which sold 680,000 copies during its first week.
Kanye West & Evel Knievel Talk It Out
Rapper Kanye West and world famous Stuntman Evel Knievel will attempt to settle a multi-million dollar trademark infringement lawsuit for the video Touch The Sky.
The lawsuit, filed by Knievel late last year, claims Kanye infringed on Knievel’s trademarked name and said the “vulgar and offensive” images depicted in the video damaged his reputation.
“That video that Kanye West put out is the most worthless piece of crap I’ve ever seen in my life, and he uses my image to catapult himself on the public” said Knievel.
Accordint to Allhiphop.com, lawyers for the stuntman filed court papers announcing they will try to settle (enter mediation) before going to court.

by bi-polar I think they mean the split personality aspect of the album, half the songs by T.I half by T.I.P., I like T.I.P. better. But you're right this most def good for hip-hop. I see 50's first week numbers being between 675,000-850,000. Its possible for him sell 1mil in the 1st week but sales across the boards are down. I wish we knew how many people download the album and add that to the 1st week numbers because I think T.I. would be at 575,000 and 50 would be at 1,000,000 plus

i thought evil knievel was dead, and i was just curious but did the carter one and the carter two go plat? i seriously dont know. i bought the carter one from these lil dudes hustlin cds at a gas station, and my homeboy hooked me up wit the carter two in high school fa like three dollas. dont get me wrong, i go to legit stores and kick out 12 or more dollas for classic cds. now that i have thouroughly listened to both carters i would have no problem goin into target and kickin out thirteen dollas for the carter one, but not the carter two. i think the only new cd that came out this year that i bought legit was bone thugs

^^Youre right cuz I know that my cousin was playin "rumored" songs from TI vs TIP back in like April,and when I actually bought the cd Id already heard about 11 songs. But the cd still crackin, and them are pretty nice sales since after reading that G-Unit article he sold more than lloyd banks did alltogether in only his first week so wow.
