On Monday, September 22, 2008 T.I. and the Hip-Hop Caucus announced that the “Respect My Vote Campaign” would be setting a goal to register over 50,000 new voters in one day.
This campaign will start off on the 30th of September and will be featured in several different markets, including Cleveland, Dallas, Baltimore and many others. They will also be working with radio in an effort to target new voters in the locations in which the communication company airs. The drive will begin at 6AM and last until 9PM.
The CEO of the Hip Hop Caucus was very excited about the new campaign and seemed to be very optimistic about their partnership with Radio On;

I agree with the man up there^ but the man down there\/ I have a different point of view. I'm 24, been to Iraq twice, haven't voted once. and my main idea is that it's cool to vote for what you believe in but don't get swept up in the hype. Do your research, make grown men moves and keep it at that. It's great that Obama is black and is doing big things for black America but that doesn't just get my vote. Gotta walk it before you talk it. I need to see proof. They have basically been saying the same shit other politicians have been saying over the past thirty years about fixing the same problems. @kento i agree with ya about politrixions being basically the same. a promise from one of em please. we must realize that there are 100 senaters and 435 reps in washinton d.c. with that many people you have to work with one must be careful about the promises they make. i've voted in every national election since 1992 and i've probably heard every promise one can make. on the other hand most of those went unfulfilled. in order for the promise to be put into effect they got convince over 500 people. to do that you gotta scratch some folks back that doesn't have the citizens best interest at heart. enough of the promises, we want results, no matter who the results come from.
