West Coast rapper The Game is gearing up for what is to be one of the summers most anticipated albums, LAX (Los Angeles Tims).
According the "One Blood" hitmaker, LAX, the third, and final, album will showcase 'highly controversial' content that other artists are afraid to touch down on.
"I have a highly controversial album coming this summer," Game explains.
"and not the typical controversy you are used to in rap. On LAX I'm addressing real issues that other artists might be scared to talk about on record ; issues that need to be heard."
In other news…
LAX which stands for "Los Angeles Times," is expected to hit stores on June 24th. Dr. Dre, the legendary producer who has crafted many hits for the rapper, is rumored to be back behind the boards producing for the album, as well as Cool & Dre, Scott Storch and upcoming producer Focus.
"Los Angeles Times" is the follow-up to 2006's "Doctor's Advocate," which has sold 966,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Okay, enough's enough. There was a time when controversy was cool to me. That time has officially come and gone. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't by hip hop albums based on the promises of controversy. Nowadays, saying that a hip hop album has controversy is about as revelant as saying CD's come in plastic cases . It's stuff like this that makes me not buy albums today.

I have always thought Game was a problem. I copped both albums, and still bump em.As a rap fan of 20 years or so I've seen too many fake dudes that blow up(no names, but you know...) and then dudes like Game get hated on. On the real I would call him the left coast Nas, or Scarface, his raps are clearly influnced by both of them. If you can get Nas to work with you(not alot do) then thats it...thats real co-signment.
