The Game Pleads Not Guilty To Felony Charges
West Coast rapper the game pleaded not guilty to three felony charges today in a Los Angeles court room.According to reports, The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, pleaded not guilty to charges of making criminal threats, possession of a firearm in a school zone and exhibiting a firearm on the grounds of a facility for minors.
The charges stem after the rapper was arrested for allegedly pulling out a gun on an opponent during a pick up game of basketball at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex on February 24.
According to CBS News (LA), Rodrick Shannon (the alleged victim) says the rapper struck him in the face after telling the man “he was garbage.” The two then squared up to fight, Game however, walked out of the gym after the rapper’s associates grabbed Shannon. When Shannon went outside to look for his son, he says, he saw the rapper reach into his Cadillac Escalade and produce a pistol.
“He started proceeding towards me. The gun was still in his hand. He yelled that I’m a fool. I turned around and ran because I feared for my life,” Shannon told the court. Game has a pretrial hearing scheduled for October 30.

In more positive related news, The Game will be appearing alongside veteran rapper Snoop Dogg in one of the inaugural episodes from VH1’s “Bridging The Gap.”
The show which chronicles the process of two rappers from different eras in hip-hop uniting to record a song, is set to premiere next week.
Snoop Dogg and The Game will be linking up to craft the track “To The Top.”
