Other appearances include Akon, Ghostface Killah, the Roots’ Black Thought, Ray J and Max B. As for the status of the LOX, the trio is working on a new album according to Styles. This is their first since “We Are the Streets” in 2000. “We’ve got a good amount of songs,” Styles said. “It’s the same direction we always go in—100 percent pure hip-hop electricity. You’ll hear a lot of songs on each one of our solo albums preparing you for the LOX album…We’ve kept it strictly us so far,” Styles says, “but we’ll see as it goes on.”
On another note, Beanie Sigel is set to return on December 11with his fourth studio LP with Rocafella Records, The Solution. With a whopping 17 tracks, the Beanie promises the album will offer its listeners an alternative to what they are currently being bombarded with via radio. “I realize that the game has changed, everything sounds the same, very repetitive,” he said. “The Solution is the answer to all of that. For those that want to here a little rock, jazz or soul, I got all of that!” Tracks include “I’m In,” which reveals Beanie’s “lady’s man” side over a sample of the Luther Vandross classic “Make Me a Believer;” and “Children,” a track addressing fatherless urban youth. The album will feature production from The Runners, Dre & Vidal and Eric Hudson, as well as guest appearances from Styles P, Scarface and Raheem DeVaughn.
