The ban that prohibited Snoop Dogg from entering Australia has officially been lifted, not only allowing Snoop to enter the country, but he is also slated to tour Australia with fellow West Coast veteran Ice Cube for seventeen days, starting October 21st.

Last year, Snoop was barred from the country by Australia's former immigration minister Kevin Andrews on account of Snoop Dogg's extensive criminal record. However, not everyone is pleased with Australia's decision. Local activist groups and support groups are fighting to have the ban reinstated.

Australian Family Association's Angela Conway claims that "Snoop trades in toxic messages of menace, violence, misogyny, and lawlessness. To add to the fire, he's actually had issues with firearms and drugs."

The Victims Of Crime Assistance League (VOCAL) will file a formal complaint with immigration officials. "What's wrong with these social engineers to let such a person into the country?" VOCAL representative Noel McNamara questions. "There is enough violence in the community without importing violent rappers from America."

This is the second ban placed against Snoop Dogg that has been lifted, the first being the United Kingdom after a brief scuffle between Snoop's entourage and London's Heathrow Airport staff.
