In a recent talk with Hiphopdx.com, Sha Money revealed how he landed the opportunity, and the details of the project. “It’s an online game, very interactive between one, two, to three players and people from all over,”said Sha. “People all over the world can get to play with each other. It’s all live so if you’re online you’re playing someone who’s live on the other side. It’s always real people, there’s no subscription fee. It’s a good game, it’s a real good game. The vibe is good. The graphics are real cool.”
This isn’t his first foray into the videogame field though, as Sha also produced a large amount of the tracks for 50 Cent’s recent game “Bulletproof”. “My experience in scoring stems from me scoring the whole 50 Cent: Bulletproof video game,” explained Sha Money. “They was impressed with what I did with the video game [and] Kelly [from Vivendi Games] called me in to score this one.”
Seeing as that basketball franchises are the only games that he frequents, Sha felt right at home with this project, saying: “All the basketball games are my favorite,”“I don’t play video games, I only play basketball [games]. I mean unless I’m playing with my son and he wants to play some fight, wrestling thing. I’ll play with him.”
Freestyle Street Basketball, which will be launching in the USA on May 15th, is confidently being predicted as a hit by Sha. “Right now it’s live in five Asian countries,”“It’s huge that’s why they bringing it here. Really, really huge. Once they seen how big it was they said, ‘Let’s bring it to the states’. ‘Cause they got a hit right now.”
