New Zealand fans were disappointed when The Game didn’t show up to one of his concerts that was scheduled Saturday, Sept. 2. The hip-hop concert which took place in Auckland at an event called “Roc The Bloc” in the Vector’s Arena, also featured artists, Akon, Naughty By Nature and Sisqo. No word yet from The Game or his camp on why he did not appear at the venue, but it may have had something to do with visas.
It seems the fans also didn’t come because due to low ticket sales, the stage at Vector had already been moved forward to cut the venue in half. Even then, the 12,000-seat capacity arena was only about one-third full. Also, because of visa issues, current hip-hop stars Mims and Juelz Santana couldn’t make the new date and were replaced by Sisqo and Miami crunk artist Pitbull. To make up for the missing rapper, the remaining four acts played elongated sets to make up the show’s advertised three-hour running time.
Meanwhile, one fan learned that it doesn’t pay to throw water bottles at hip-hop stars. Naughty By Nature stopped their show mid-set to eject a punter who had thrown several water bottles at the old-school rappers.
“I don’t come to your McDonalds day job and spread tomato sauce around to mess up your shit,” rapper Vin Rock yelled as the shamed fan was escorted from the building. “This is my job, man.”
