It started off as just a rumor, something that would be mentioned from time to time but now what was once considered a joke is suddenly becoming something that more true than anyone would have ever suspected. So after all of the suspicion and rumors, smokinggun.com has released records showing that Rick Ross was in fact at one time a corrections officer.
Ross rose to fame in the industry with his vivid stories which painted the picture of his life as a drug dealer, but according to the rumors, Ross graduated from the Florida Department Of Corrections Training Academy (DOC).
The biggest factor that has turned this from rumor to truth was the social security number of Ross, which matched the one of William Roberts, who worked in the South Florida Reception Center In Dade County Florida.
The southern rapper was a allegedly a prison guard from December 1995 - 1997 when he left the job.To add insult to injury, DJ Khaled, who was once an ally of Ross, is on record throwing verbal shots at the Florida rapper saying " Im the reason Rick Ross is driving Phantoms"
There was a picture leaked which showed Ross in a Corrections officers office but Ross denied the allegations saying that the picture was fake.
"My life is 100% real, these online hackers putting a picture of my face when I was a teenager in high school on other peoples' body. If this s**t was real don't you think they would have more specifics, like dates and everything? I'm in the entertainment business and a lot of people who like to hate because I'm on top of my game. Like I said before my life is 100% real. I live by this die by this. Fake pictures are created by the fake, meant to entertain the fake."
Ross has yet to make a statement addressing the information supplied by Smokinggun.com
