Rick Ross Talks Thrilla, Dropping December 18th

by LYRICALTHOUGHT

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2007

A little bit over a year after his debut album, Def Jam recording artist Rick Ross is giving fans everywhere a second helping with his sophomore album "Trilla," due to be released on December 18 by way of Slip N' Slide/Def Jam.

With the release date right around the corner, the first single from this album will be "Speedin'" featuring R. Kelly, while talking with MTV Ross stated.

"We're speed-racing to the top. "It's a race to see who gets the most money, it's a race to see who puts their side on the map, it's a race to see who's the best. Living, to me, is a race. It ain't no time for sleeping and resting. It's that fast life."

After having so much success on their first album, most artist get complacent and satisfied with their position but Ross seems hungrier than ever...

"This album is better, bigger when 'Hustlin' took off I finished Port of Miami in the back of the van on promo tour, this one I really sat down with producers and everybody I really wanted to work with and put together something that's really timeless."

With a long list of super producers such as DJ Toomp, Cool N Dre, and The Runners, "Trilla" is well on its way to the shelves. With songs such as Street Money" featuring artist like Kuje, Florida natives Poe Boy and Flo Rida, Trilla tops off with high profile collabos such as "Maybach Music" featuring Jay-Z and "Luxury Music" featuring Lil' Wayne, Young Jeezy, and Trick Daddy.

Ross's first Hit "Hustlin" was the street anthem of the summer being played at block parties and clubs everywhere--it was certified gold at the RIAA mastertone certification press conference in June 2006.

Port of Miami was a bangin album... It seemed like after that tho Ross's lyrics and his music was just getting repetitve and I got sick of him for a while. But then he started pickin it back up and when I heard him on White Girl (Remix) I started fuckin wit him again... Trilla will rock, especially if he does some better collabos... you can't go wrong wit Wayne and Jay Z

Word b. You cant sit around and say your newest album isnt your best...why should people buy it? They would be better off just going and buying an older album of yours if its better ya know?
