I just heard the RIAA just dropped charges on them because the cd's wasn't bootlegs but mixtapes that stated "promotional only". And mixtapes with the permission of the artist are not illegal.

But, let's say you are an artist and you had to struggle for years (ie lil wayne) before you actually got recognize as having talent and you put out several hot tracks but wasn't getting your cut what would you do? The artists goto him, for him to put the CD out and stir up buzz!!! All CDs that Drama does have permission from the artist. And labels are full aware of it. How do u think he has a major record label deal with Atlantic. Most of the music is specially made for the CD.
