Queens rapper Prodigy received an unusual postponement this week--unlike an album release being pushed to a later date, the Mobb Deep frontman can use this one as reason to celebrate.
Prodigy, who was convicted of Criminal Possession Of A Loaded Weapon, had his jail bid postponed for 30 days after being admitted to the emergency room January 7. He was released the same night.
Details to why Prodigy was hospitalized are not known at this time but it's rumored he was admitted from some complication of his Sickle Cell Anemia.
Prodigy was slated to begin his sentence January 9th but before he was admitted to the hospital he planned to start serving his sentence a day early.

Prodigy, whose new sentence date is Feb. 13 plead guilty to illegal gun possession charges last October.
Prodigy recently finished up his sophomore solo album titled H.N.I.C 2 which is planned to be released via Voxonic Music in March. The album will be released in 1,400 languages.
