Prodigy, who was convicted of Criminal Possession Of A Loaded Weapon, had his jail bid postponed for 30 days after being admitted to the emergency room on January 7. He was released the same night.
It is rumored he was admitted from some complication of his Sickle Cell Anemia. His sentence was then set to February 13th, that however was also postponed.
Fans of the rapper need not worry however, as the Queens MC plans to keep everyone updated via his blog which he says he'll be updating on the regular from behind bars.
His latest solo effort, H.N.I.C. 2 is scheduled to hit stores on April 22nd, while his yet to be titled autobiography is still being wrapped up.
"I got an autobiography coming out soon," says the Shook Ones hitmaker.
"It's not some silly little book, this is my life story, my legacy, and my family tree. I'm talking a very serious read, about 500 pages that I wrote myself full of pictures that will show you everything ya reading from start to finish. This is guaranteed to be one of the best, if not the best hip-hop autobiography that's ever been published," he continued.

According to Prodigy, the book will be released via Vigliano Associates, a literary firm who has represented eight #1 New York Times best sellers and boasts an impressive list of celebrity clientèle including Shaquille Oneal, Britney Spears, David Blaine, Alicia Keys, and Walter Payton.
"I'm the only rapper that they've decided to represent. I'm finishing the last 50-75 pages while I'm locked up and it'll be released soon after my H.N.I.C. 2 album drops."

The truth is that this is a lame idea and as a matter of fact here's some advice Prodigy...if you're reading this...there is no reason why you should come out with this book now. There's no valid reason for this output and as a matter of fact, it will hurt your "career" more than help it. Don't know if G-Unit is supporting you on this or not, but since no one is telling it to you like it is, I'll do this one pro-bono...don't write the 6 page book with pictures...You're not ready and the people aren't ready. This book should be intended to lure fans like candidates try to lure voters...you don't have any credibility, talent nor appeal outside of your zipcode. Instead, this is what you should do...do your time...avoid dropping the soap...after a few months (at minimum 6 months) begin sparking controversy about those who have failed you while in prison and date it back before you went into prison...just claim that they surprised you and you didn't think they were that way...this gives you a basis for listeners because fans love controversy. Let the fans-to-be know that it's time for a new album and discuss the concept behind your album...do the following for your album...take it a little retro...you know, back to the original QueensBridge roots...keep it gully and spit that original Mob Deep shit you and Havoc use to spit...this should be your intro. Next contemplate 3 concept songs that deal with addressing those that have failed you...Next, find 3 more songs that should be intended as party smashers...they should rock in cars too...don't threaten nor pistol whip the ladies you choose to sing with you...there should be at minimum 2 ladies...can't have the same one on all 3 tracks...plan videos for these...which means, that you should start working out so that when you do the videos, the whole concept of beef and player mix well...Next, do 3 solo tracks spittin fire...this has to be from the heart and it has to be original...plus it CANNOT say anything about G-UNIT in the backround nor in the chorus...and when you spit yo' shit, make sure that the production is topnotch because if it's not, this will make you vulnerable against your listeners who will be waiting for your enemies to reply to you 3 tracks...stay away from doing a double alum...keep it to 13 tracks and one bonus...the next 3 tracks that I didn't make a recommendation for should be left for strong collabos...these collabos should be chosen very strategically...for instance, don't do shit with Kanye West cause that shit will look and sound fucking wierd!
