David Lee Gay Jr., manager of Florida rapper Plies ,was arrested in his home Tuesday, December 11th, while partaking in a drug transaction with associate Eleazar Gutierrez-Castillo.
According to reports, police seized 80 pounds of cocaine after a successful stint operation with the assistance of Gay Jr.'s associate, Castillo, who was arrested hours earlier trying to sell two to five ounces of cocaine to an undercover Tampa officer.
Court documents state that from September 21st through November 12th, Gay Jr. entered into an agreement with Castillo to distribute cocaine. During that time period, Gay Jr. received and sold a half kilogram to a kilogram of cocaine at least six times.
Police also seized a 9mm Taurus handgun, about ‘10 grams of marijuana , drug paraphernalia,and $7,902.’
Gay Jr., faces several charges including possession of cocaine, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of less than 20 grams of 
marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, armed trafficking, racketeering and several conspiracy charges.
Plies, who's most notable for his debut single "Shawty" featuring T - Pain, has no direct connection to the case. No statements have been issued by his camp.
