Pastor Troy addresses beef with Lil John

by AL_CAPONE

TUESDAY JUNE 19, 2007

In todays’ Hip-Hop world, it is easy to notice just by turning on the television to MTV and BET or your radio dial to your favorite Hip-Hop station, that the southern influence has taken over. Southern favorite Pastor Troy spoke recently about this new era, and plans on a collaboration with Lil’ Jon.

According to HHNLive, in an upcoming interview Pastor Troy speaks on his beef with Lil’ Jon, and lets his feelings be known on the Snap music versus Crunk debate. In the interview, Troy mentions that he is trying to set-up a collaboration with Lil’ Jon but some things needs to be addressed first.

“Yea, yea, yea, he (Lil’ Jon) must be havin’ some difficulty figurin’ out some mo’ shit. They damn sho’ callin’ back tryin’ to got damn patch thangs up. I wasn’t trippin’ man, I was just disappointed with him cause he was just makin’ a whole bunch of damn pop shit know what I mean? But it’s all cool man…”

Pastor Troy then goes on to address Snap music, and shares his thoughts on Crunk music being dead.

“Man, that shit there man (Snap music), everybody’s tryin’ to eat. It sounds cool playin’ in the club, but a far as gettin’ in my car and ridin’ around listenin’ to damn “snap ya fingas, do ya step,” man I don’t wanna hear that shit.” “Man they can call that joint whatever they want to man, shit. I know I ain’t gon’ last forever. It might leave wit’ me. Shit you know, I don’t got no feelings about it either way, but for now, we gon’ do this shit, we gon’ get paid, and that’s what’s up.”

i feel ya fuck snap music i only bang gangsta shit in ma ride fuk snap music, in the 90's was when rap was at its peak, and is sad to see how rap is today, rappers arent orignal anymore they just wanna make a quick buck but back then rappers were hungry and wanted to express the lives they was having in the hood and producers were hungry to make beats and not be lazy with it. 2pac Eazy-E Biggie Smalls would be pissed off at the rap game if they was still hear cuz rap is bullshit, i hope one day it will change but for now like nas said hip hop is dead

Crunk aint dead, That shit put da South really on da map real talk. "Clubbin", dats just our lifestyle, faggots get over it. Man all these people who had their time to shine, gettin mad at somebody else hustle. Aye dont listen to da radio if they dont play yo shit, dont play dat wack ass cd, Get over it and stop complaining shit. Pasta aint shit noway lol who cares what he says.

And yall people who say pac, biggie, eazye and etc... would be mad at the rap game right now is crazy. They all had they time to shine think about it, Time had changed you dont want da rap game to be like it was in the 90's its 2007. Your favorite rapper dont know how to get that money and talk business.

enough sed....

It's funny to hear yall cats talk about this "real" rap music and what it is and what it ain't. It's really just a preference of what you like to hear. At least Troy kept it real cuz he from down there and he heavy in that music and if you don't know you need to get hip to his cd (DSGB) [Down South Georgia Boys] that thing go so hard, but he spoke like he spoke because it's tha truth, sometimes it's hard to bang tha snap music in ya ride, but go to tha club and it's fire; lets be honest you know you can't get down in tha club to "Vice Versa" or "No mo play in GA" unless you really vibin, well maybe "No mo play in GA" cuz that beat is bananas; and pastor troy made his attempts at mainstream hits such as "We Riding Big yo" and "Are we cuttin it" and they got tv time and they were club tracks so he saw tha way rap was starting to go, but cuz it ain't him I think he decided to take a break, but that's just my opinion...but don't get it twisted RAP DOES CHANGE because to be honest a lot of tha first forms of rap were spit in tha Break Dance era, at least thats where it originated, you had hardcore rappers like Ice-T, Planet Rock, and others dropping bars and beats that you could break to, nowadays we got tha south dropping beats you can step to, dance rap will always beat out gangsta rap; at least for "right now"...bottom line any music rap or r&b that make you dance in tha club is always gonna sell because people go out and hear it and then wanna buy it, just tha simple hustle "right now"
