After rumors of New York rappers Papoose & Remy Ma's engagement ran wild late last week, Pap has stepped forward and deemed them completely false.
As the rumor goes, the couple reportedly confirmed their engagement to Egypt of BET's "The Black Carpet" during her television show on Thursday night (March 6).
In a recent interview with SOHH however, Papoose says that his engagement to Remy Ma is false. Although, he did not deny that the two do "share a friendship," Papoose strictly went on record stating: "It's not true. [We're] friends."
In related news, Philadelphia rapper Cassidy has attempted to clear his name after allegations that he set Papoose up to be attacked by Fat Joe were fueled by Pap in recent interviews.
During an interview on New York's Hot 97 radio station with personality, Miss Jones, Cassidy claims he had no bad intentions when he invited Papoose to his room.
"We was all staying in the same hotel," Cass explained. "So it wasn't like I called Papoose from his home to my home, and then something happened to him, or I called him from far away and he came into an unfamiliar area. We was staying in the same hotel on the same floor - - Me, Fat Joe and Papoose. So I definitely wouldn't set Papoose up... it definitely wasn't my fault I was just reaching out, trying to communicate, trying to build relationships.
"That was actually my first time actually conversating with Papoose when I seen him in a hotel," he continued. "I ran into him a couple of times and seen his face, but I never got a chance to bust it up with him or communicate with him. And being to the fact, that he's up and coming and he's doing his thing and he's definitely got a little buzz, I wanted to build a relationship and hopefully we could have did a song or something in the future."
Cass then goes on to explain that due to his long relationship with Fat Joe, his people let him in the room without any problem.
