New Jim Jones Documentary Looks At Cam'ron Issues
by on March 18th, 2009
"This Is Jim Jones" is the name of the upcoming documentary on Harlem rapper Jim Jones. The movie will be produced by Damon Dash. It focuses on how Jones went from being the #2 man behind Cam'ron to rising to the top of the heap on his own.
The project is due May 12, and features a number of hip-hop luminaries like Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex and Angie Martinez, DJ Clark Kent, Russell Simmons and others speaking about Jones' life and career. Reflecting on the pas, Jones recalls telling Cam'ron that "it was part of the plan for a separation...Not sure why. ... But also part of the plan is to get back. I'm just waiting for the get back [now]." Dash also weighs in on the topic by expressing his frustration with it and also pointing to his own break from Jay-Z as a reason the Dips shouldn't have had such a rift.
The film stretches out over 10 chapters, following Jones from childhood through the formation of Dipset to their time at Roc-A-Fella. In the final chapter, titled "Purification," Jones opens up about his father, who died due to an illness related to HIV/AIDS. The rapper chooses his words carefully and expresses remorse over the lack of time he shared with his father.

As far as the break up of the dips being planned, I hope thats not the case, that’s be extra corny.
Let me fix that for you REIGN:
Reflecting on the past, Jones recalls telling Cam’ron that “it was part of the plan for a separation…Not sure why. … But also part of the plan is to get back. I’m just waiting for the get back [now].”
You forgot the “T” in “past.” DefSounds, you need to get writers who actually know how to write.
