Nas And Kelis To Collab On Album

According to Nas he and wife Kelis are considering collaborating on an entire album together. In a recent interview Nas revealed the idea.

"Me and my wife was thinking about doing this record together, I'm doing my dream. If you could, wouldn't you do it? What else would you do, every time I do something, it's, 'Oh, he's doing it because this and that.' Since my first album, everybody has an explanation of why. What am I supposed to be doing here? So I wanna drop the Dre album and the Premier album on the same day. That's what I'm thinking."

Despite all of the talk about who his next two albums will feature, the architect of one of the greatest diss tracks ever is still very focused on his current album "Untitled" and plans to release a second single to follow his first one "Hero". While many were surprised to see a Polow Da Don Produced track on a Nas album, the rapper felt it natural explaining what brought these two together.

"I was almost gonna not do a single, but I wanted a song I could hear in the clubs, 'cause I knew the album didn't have that. I wanted a song that I could hear when I'm poppin' bottles. That's what 'Hero' was for me. Polow was one of my favorite guys; he's just a nice-ass guy. ... I was like, 'No single, no video. Let's just make this a record that we talk about.' "

Nas's current album "Untitled" was number one on the charts last week with a total of 187,000 copies sold.

MIMS and Lloyd Banks shouldn’t be compared to each other and instead of dropping dre and Premier on the same day he should drop the album with his girl and premier on the same day or dre and Kelis so if we ain’t the Kelis album he still can fall back on the dre or premier album

Shit if ¾ of Defsound copped that Nas album, his numbers would have looked way better. I doubt Dre would do it, even though he produced some stuff for nas, but I could see Premo doing it…he has produced tracks for nas in the past as well (Nas is like…ny state of mind) and with the lyrically creativty of nas and the beats by premo…this is destined to be a great album

They’re both eclectic artist in their own right and i think it would be interesting to see what kinda vibe they gonna go with on an entire album.

The are very different and very creative. That could work cause that is what impressed me about untitled was that it was so creative. That’s what the game lacks right now. They more worried about who used to be a cop and who used to be an inmate.

We know that when that milk shake shit was out half of you niggas were up in the club dancing to that shit. I really thought she was going to be on the untitle album, at LEAST ON “HERO”.
