Nas And Kelis To Collab On Album
by on July 28th, 2008
Fresh off of his chart topping album "Untitled" and a protest of Fox, Hip Hop Veteran Nasty Nas is back in the news again. This time, because of something he may soon be doing with the misses.
"Me and my wife was thinking about doing this record together, I'm doing my dream. If you could, wouldn't you do it? What else would you do, every time I do something, it's, 'Oh, he's doing it because this and that.' Since my first album, everybody has an explanation of why. What am I supposed to be doing here? So I wanna drop the Dre album and the Premier album on the same day. That's what I'm thinking."
Despite all of the talk about who his next two albums will feature, the architect of one of the greatest diss tracks ever is still very focused on his current album "Untitled" and plans to release a second single to follow his first one "Hero". While many were surprised to see a Polow Da Don Produced track on a Nas album, the rapper felt it natural explaining what brought these two together.
"I was almost gonna not do a single, but I wanted a song I could hear in the clubs, 'cause I knew the album didn't have that. I wanted a song that I could hear when I'm poppin' bottles. That's what 'Hero' was for me. Polow was one of my favorite guys; he's just a nice-ass guy. ... I was like, 'No single, no video. Let's just make this a record that we talk about.' "

Nas's current album "Untitled" was number one on the charts last week with a total of 187,000 copies sold.

IF you do that, it better be one motherfucking good album.
dnt do it
ReDef.
Now Nas is a Legend, I fux with him hardbody, but I wont cosign this mess; a whole album with him & Kelis? Didn’t he learn anything from Sunny & Chair,..hell what about Ike & Tina? You can’t do that shit, shit ain’t healthy for a married couple.
Plus most importantly, Hip-Hop don’t need that bull shit,…do that Dre album or the Primo album I will buy 10 copies every month lol
talkin Plies sold more then Nas
who cares, album sales dont mean shit
and Nas is one of the greats
Plies ant shit
They’re both eclectic artist in their own right and i think it would be interesting to see what kinda vibe they gonna go with on an entire album.
U know the Neptunes gonna be involved in that project along with Dre and Preem.
future flop
Peace!
