According to Downtown head Josh Deutsch, super producer/rapper Kanye West will produce several tracks on Mos's album, which has not yet been given a title. West and Mos are no strangers, Mos Def recently did a cameo on Kanye's "drunk and hot girls" which appeared on the Chicago Mc's 3rd album "Graduation."
Mos Def's last album "Tru3 Magic" did not do so well selling 86,000 in the united states and downtown records has no intentions of re
releasing it on their label. Before its actual release it was pushed back numerous times-- by the time it was released any kind of buzz fans had for the album was apparently gone.

No word as to who else will be working on the album has arrived yet.

Didn't Kanye sell 960 000 on this years album. It is really the same amount as Kanye because if u doubled 550 000 it is around what Kanye West sold for the graduation considering the doubling of Alicia's cd prices like u say.
U can compare it to Jay and 50's recent works but those guys have sold a million units in a week before.
I like Mos Def especially his early stuff, he is creatively gifted.
