According to the lawsuit filed earlier this month, Jamal Grinnage and Eric Murray -- that's Lil' Fame and Billy Danze, claim WWE sampled their song for wrestler John Cena's intro theme which has appeared on DVDs, CDs, PPV events, and ringtones, without securing the proper rights.
Fame and Danze claim they turned down the WWE's original request to license the track causing WWE lawyers to gain clearance from someone who at the time identified themselves as the third member of M.O.P. and president of Next Level Publishing.

M.O.P. argues that the person who signed off on the clearance was only an office worker at the company.
They are seeking $150,000 in damages, that they be ruled the proper owner of the song, and that all DVDs, CDs, etc. using the sampled music be recalled and destroyed.
