Method Man booked on marijuana charges
Clifford Smith, better known as Method Man was halted at a Battery Tunnel Toll booth in Brookyln by NYC law enforcement at 10pm on May 18th.
The police, who pulled him over due to expired tags on his 2005 Lincoln Navigator, were immersed in a cloud of marijuana smoke once the window was let down. They searched the vehicle further and discovered blunts, and over 30 grams of marijuana in plastic bags.
Meth was booked on driving an uninspected vehicle, criminal possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana, and for driving under the influence. We will have more on this story as it develops.
Lil Kim postpones fundraiser
Rap star Lil Kim has had to put off a Memorial Day fundraiser she had scheduled at the Myrtle Beach House of Blues on May 26th. The event was going on in conjunction with National Black Bike for her 2 part fund drive for The “Lil Kim Cares Foundation”.
A representative gave a statement to Allhiphop.com saying: “Lil Kim would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her partnering organizations: Motorcyclists Who Care and Krupt Mob, a Motorcyclists club from Queens for their support and understanding.”
“She would also like to thank wonderful companies like Suzuki for their generosity towards the fund-raiser. Through the Lil Kim Cares Foundation, Kim will continue to raise funds and awareness for National programs that assist with issues of homelessness, HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness, transitional living, child neglect and violence against women in the impoverished neighborhoods throughout the country.”
