Mac Minister, the Bay Area rapper whose real name is Andre Dow, 37, was convicted along with Jason "Corleone" Mathis on two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. The trial lasted less than a week. The victims in the homicide were Anthony “Fat Tone” Watkins and associate Jermaine ‘Cowboy” Atkins.
In May of 2005, Fat Tone and Cowboy were killed in Las Vegas while en route to meet a representative from Snoop Dogg's label that was setup by an unknown party. Their bodies were later found riddled with AK-47 bullets at a construction site outside of Las Vegas. MGM Grand security cameras documented Minister leaving the hotel with two men just hours before the slaying.
Mac Dre's murder has yet to be solved.
