If you haven't been keeping up with the drama, it all escalated after Lupe forgot the lyrics to A Tribe Called Quest's "Electric Relaxation," during his tribute performance at VH1's 2007 Hip Hop Honors.
The slip up at the honors show led critics and fans alike to criticize and reprimand Lupe.
"I didn't really grow up on them like that." Lupe said in a recent interview with Angie Martinez.
"I'm well aware of what they did, I'm not brain dead to the situation" He quipped.
Lupe also took the time to disperse a rumor which placed him amidst a fight with a female during a T-Mobile party.
According to the rumor, a female dumped her drink on Lupe after he approached her--causing Lupe to assault the party goer.
"There's no truth to that story what-so-ever," said Lupe.
"Me and my homie--and a few of my compadres went to a T- Mobile party. Me and my homie were talking, there was a girl in there...she walks past us and spills her drink on my homie and walks off" He continued.
"So my man goes off and gets two Long Island Ice Teas--and throws em on her."
