Multi Platinum selling artist Da Brat has reportedly been arrested for smashing a bottle in the face of a waitress at an Atlanta nightclub last night (October 31).
According to Atlanta’s WSBTV, the incident occurred at Studio 72, a club owned by Jermaine Dupri, the head of So So Def Records.
Witnesses told authorities that the Da Brat and the waitress got into a heated dispute which lead to shoving, then the rapper picked up a bottle of rum and hit the woman in the face. The waitress was rushed to hospital with cuts to her face and above her eyes.
Brat is currently in custody at the DeKalb County jail. She is facing felony aggravated assault charges.

I first read about Da Brat getting locked up on www.globalgrind.com. I seriously doubt that she decided to catch a case as a publicity stunt. There are better ways to get your name in the paper that don't involve jail time, fines and lawsuits.
