Last week, during an interview on 'Streetsweeper Radio", Kim said she has no ill feelings towards Atlantic. She also said she's releasing on an independent now because she trusts her knowledge in the music business enough to work on her own project.
Lil Kim recently came back to the rap world with her latest mixtape with DJ WHOO KID entitled "Ms. G.O.A.T".
Originally slated to drop in February, her upcoming untitled album, has been set for a release in April or May 2008.
Rumor has it Kim will join Imperial Records which also hosts another New York MC, Fat Joe.

It makes you wonder will they join forces for a few tracks, maybe even a diss track towards Fat Joe's longtime enemy and Kim's new enemy, Remy Ma, who just recently dissed both of them on a track entitled Doo Wop.

Lil Kim knows that her last album went 5 mics and she didn't get all the cake she suppose to get because of the big record label. Now you better make sure this album is FIRE because if not you have a lot to lose other than respect from the fans. You will lose bread beacuse this is a small record label. And they are no guarantee no big checks without sales....

But the same way MC Lyte dominated the female rap world in her time is the same way KIM has dominated the female rap world, but KIM has done it much longer than any other female in history. She single handedly changed the game. Her DNA is in every female rapper out, including Remy. Her Legacy alone is bigger than most male rappers.
