Where Ye is lacking (in marketing for his album) is on the streets level (as he just said he's not a gangsta so that channel of marketing isn't as accessible to him as it is for some [like 50]). His mixtape solved that problem a good amount, but that mixtape dropped in may, so he still needs a buzz. This would be a good tactic (and this could be on some higher level shit as in Ye not even being in on it, but the higherups in industry knowing how this would work out) because Ye is honest/emotional to a fault (this is his charisma with people), but hey maybe I'm thinking too hard again.

Either way, Ye handled it like a man, and especially well for being in the hip hop industry.
