Kanye West & Jay Z to Collabo With Fall Out Boy

by JOKESTA

FRIDAY JANUARY 19, 2007

Rock Band Fall Out Boy has enlisted the help of Kanye West and Jay Z for their new album “Infinity On High.” Kanye is set to remix one of the tracks of their new album and Jay Z has already recorded a track called “Car Crash” with the Rock Band.

The band managed to grab West for a track when they found out he lived next to the band’s bass player Pete Wentz. Wentz tells MTV.com, “I ran into Kanye at some fashion show in California. He was like, ‘We should hang out some time!’ “It turns out he’s one of my neighbors in California. So he called me and (frontman) Patrick up one day and invited us over to his place. We went, and he played us new songs and we played him some of ours. And he agreed to do a remix for us.”

nah Jay-Z doesn't need to be on the album to make it sell well. Fall Out Boy are already famous. I'm definitely pickin that album up though.

Pete Wentz is a fruit cake though. But dude can write some songs.

I am a lil skeptical bout Kanye doin' a remix with an EMO band. That is an appetite for destruction, period. As far as Jay Z concern, dude, stick with Linkin Park. At least they're a lil' edgier than these panzies. This is gonna be bad!

Nigga sound real stupid on here."why do they always collabo with some punk rock bands and shit".Little kids on defsounds always say the darnest things.

Jay-Z has done nearly a hundred collabos, this and the chris martin songs off Kingdom Come would make two.The linkin Park/Jay-Z albums was a mashup.
But if he did, so what.Getting money is getting money in the music industry, except to cornball idiots.

I dont mind Jay doing a collaboration with a "rock" band. Dude tore it up with Linkin Park on the "Collision Course". That was a crazy record. I would rather hear him and Linkin Park do another collaboration, but with brand new material. I will be honest, I will give a shot and hear the track thou, even though I do not like Fall Out Boy. However, I do not approve of the fact that Kanye would do a remix for them though. I dug the remix that he did with Maroon 5. But, Maroon 5 was more of a R&B sound, similar to Hall & Oates. It might be a disaster. But, good luck to him.
