“I’m always tweaking things here and there but I am being told I have to finish it today. “It was originally meant to be out in two weeks. I would never have finished it by then. The mastering company told me, ‘If it’s not finished by today then your s**t won’t be in the stores’.”

Theoretically, the purpose of buying an album is to support the artist so that the record is a success and the record company will back them in a future project. We've seen SO MANY artist go 1,2 or 3 and out and it's curtains... Even Diddy said it! But with Lauryn, EVERYONE AND THEIR MAMA went out and copped The Miseducation, hell, MULTIPLE copies, and she let her fans down and never gave us anything else. That goes for the Fugees, collectively, as a group as well. So, one can argue, what's the point of supporting your favorite artist when they turn around and ish on you? It IS a valid point.
At one point, I DID say that I was thinkin' about coppin' Kanye's album just for g.p., 'cause I really do want him to outsell 50. And it's crazy 'cause I actually used to like 50, as a casual listener, UNTIL I became a Defsounds "Soldier" and saw how so many of these kids are brainwashed and actually think he's a SUPERIOR LYRICIST.
