According to reports, Snoop Dogg must reach a settlement with his former label Priority Records within the next three weeks - or the unpaid royalties case will go to trial.
Snoop filed suit against the label in 2006, accusing Priority Records of failing to pay up $2 million in outstanding royalties.
He also claimed he had yet to receive a $950,000 advance for his 2000 album, "Tha Last Meal."
Furthermore, the suit also claims Priority Records allegedly released Snoop's greatest hits compilation without the rappers consent.
In other news…
Priority Records fired back and countered the suit stating Snoop waited to long to file the suit and has asked that it be tossed on those grounds.
Judge Helen I. Bendix set a deadline of 26 March (08) for a settlement to be reached.
If Snoop and Priority still disagree by that date, Bendix will either set a trial date or refer the case to the Superior Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution program.
