Why does it have to be a "gimmick saying hip hop is dead" I feel that Nas really feels in his heart that hip hop is dead. Now lets not get literal because we all know that this thing of ours will live forever, BUT as far as what hip hop was when it started(70's) through the golden era of the 80's, and national exposure of early 90's, it definitely has lost it's way. i know times change and things are going to be different, BUT we cant lose sight of the foundation we built or else we wont have anything to stand on!
